Position Australia as a trusted hub, leading 200+ partnerships that connect local expertise, regional strengths, and international networks to drive innovation and impact.

Secure National and International Research Investment

Attract over AUD 10 billion in competitive funding through NHMRC, MRFF, ARC, Horizon Europe, NIH, and other global agencies to support world-class research and innovation.

Develop a World-Class AI Research & Innovation Lab

Establish a global centre for artificial intelligence, applying advanced technologies across health, climate, manufacturing, and national priority sectors, with strong regional research participation.

Advance Australia’s National and Regional Research Priorities

Ensure all AICRO projects deliver on the Australian Government’s Science and Research Priorities — including health, clean energy, AI, advanced manufacturing, food security, soil and water, resources, transport, and cybersecurity — while supporting regional innovation hubs.

Australia–Global Innovation Forum

Host an annual forum that brings together universities, industry, policymakers, and international partners to exchange ideas, co-design projects, and showcase innovations

Build Education Pathways and Research Capacity

Reinvest 50% of profits into education, training, and community programs, delivering 50,000 scholarships, internships, and upskilling opportunities by 2035.

Transform Industry–University Collaboration

Enable 10,000 collaborations where academia and industry jointly create innovations, translating research into policy, products, and commercial solutions.

Achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Align every AICRO program with the UN SDGs, ensuring Australian research and innovations strengthen global sustainability and social progress.
